Demimonde was found in Prague (capital of Czech republic) in the beginningof 1996 year by five musicians (Affagddu-bass, T.o.n.-drums, Jaacob-guitarand next Ankhabuth-lead guitar and D'aven-keyboards).
The basic idea was to create some original kind of atmospherical metal.
During 1996 year we composed cca 10 songs (7of them emerged on our first studio work
- The Warrior's Poets,
so WP is 2 years old material).
From the beginning, the major problem was with singers, because from these five persons,
who created the band, no one wanted to sing.
We tried a lot of singers, but nobody doesn't fit on Demimonde concept.
Just after one year we found Kashtan (singer/guitarist) and next our founder guitarist Jaacob tried the black/death voice and he did it well.
These two men split the vocal lines (Kashtan had a higher voice, Jaacob deeper - same system as inAmorphis.)
The last member who came was the female vocalist Tanyya.
Then we were prepared to go to studio (recording of Warrior's Poets occured in the half of 1997).
At the end of 1997, we split with Kashtan and all male vocals are done by Jaacob now.
During the spring 1998, the Warrior's Poets release was finally published as a professional done full-lenght MC.
It is 45 minutes
long, contains 7 compositions and has a full-coloured cover.

on our next project
- we are composing
a newmaterial which is planed to be released in the beginning of 1999.
We havenow cca. to 40 min. of quite chaotic avantgarde metal.

DEMIMONDE: "THE WARRIOR'S POETS"
The first release of this Czech band is really professional for an auto-production.
The cover and general color layout is fantastic, the sound is very good and the tapes are pro duplicated.
There are 7 songs: original, varied and well played. The singer is very good and put his soul inside music, the keyboard player is practically always present but not boring, he fits perfectly to the music and ad something new (not like in the bands as Cradle of filth for example where the synths are there just to bring easy moods and atmospheres).
The drummer and guitar/bassplayers are also good. The music is really an osmosis between all their instruments.
And it's like this that a band can really create a world, built a dream ...
For the general it's a mix of doom/death/atmospheric and other forms of music.
Really an interesting release. I just imagine what can we hope for the future of Demimonde ...
Remember this name.
