Twilight Symphony combines atheistic blackmetal with the atmosphere of doommetal and the deep-crunch of Deathmetal.This mixture makes our sound unique, it simply doesn't sound like anything else.
With poems about our own thoughts and philosophies that we use to explain the world as we see it. We often brood about the meaning of life, why we're here, what happen's when we leave our carnal body and why things doesn't ever go our way...
It all started back in 1992 when Henrik S.(bass,vocals),Johan(drums) and a guy named Roger Åström(guitar) decided to become the new Metallica but we just learned half of the song "Disposable Heroes" when we canceled that project.At that time we called ourselves "Mailman"

Roger quit the "band", later on "Carmen"(guitar) and André Sandberg(guitar) (r.i.p) joined Henrik and Johan, and started the band "Untuned" we played trashmetal alá Slayer/Metallica. After awhile did "Carmen" quit and Jonas "Krocko" Larsson(guitar) signed up and we continued their "work" under the name "Momentary". We had written about 7-8 songs when André passed away.
After a long break we started to play music again now under the name "Sufferchild".Roger(guitar) rejoining the band along with Daniel Petterson(Vocals). After awhile Roger and Daniel left the group and Peter "jönis" Ogestad(guitar) and Magnus "westbult" Westblom(Vocals) joined "Sufferchild".
The band now began to play Metallica covers and almost aor.
Now Jonas left the band and the city we live in got drained from guitarists so Johan gave up the drums and began to play guitar and Henrik L. joined as a new drummer.
Then we played with that lineup almost 2 years when we decided to get rid of Magnus (in about the same time, we changed our name to Twilight Symphony from the idea from Henrik L.) and then a couple of months later we decided to play more aggressive but yet symphonic black/doommetal
and Peter didn't fit in anymore, so we got rid of him to.
Now we were without a guitarplayer and we didn't have a vocalist so Henrik S. picked up the guitar and opened his throat, but we still didn't have a bassplayer.We directly thought on our childhood & drinking-companion Benny Persson.After about 3 months of pure hell we finally had 2 songs to
show up (yippie!!!).Our first "bigger" gig was as a "warmup" for the swedish pop-group Pineforest Crunch (they suck) but their female vocalist was a real rapevictim.
After that we kept on playing until now...and our struggle has obviously payed off...'cause we're bringing our superb music out to you... and we're hoping to do that in the future too...
